Counselling Psychologist | Expressive Arts Therapy Practitioner & Facilitator

My journey into psychology began with a long-standing curiosity about people, society, meaning and purpose. I initially studied Economics and later worked in the corporate sector, but found myself increasingly drawn towards understanding human behaviour, emotions and relationships.

This led me to pursue a Master’s in Applied Psychology and gain experience across different mental health and wellbeing settings. I also trained in Expressive Arts Therapy, which deepened my interest in how healing can happen not only through words, but also through movement, creativity, play and embodied expression.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe wellbeing does not always have to begin with finding the right words. Sometimes, it begins with slowing down, noticing, creating, moving, or simply having a space where nothing is expected of you.

I aim to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, collaborative, sensitive and non-judgmental. My approach is tailored to each person’s unique needs, experiences and pace.

Alongside talk therapy, I integrate expressive arts modalities such as visual art, movement, drama and play where appropriate. My work is trauma-informed, intersectional and queer-affirmative, with attention to how our body, relationships, identities and lived experiences shape our emotional world.

I Specialise in

Internal Family Systems (IFS), developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, views the mind as a family of different “parts,” each with its own role, emotions, and protective intentions. At the core of every person is the Self—a calm, compassionate, and confident inner leader capable of healing wounded parts. Rather than fighting difficult emotions, IFS helps you understand and transform them with curiosity and self-compassion. It is particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, low self-worth, and fostering lasting personal growth.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), developed by Dr. Steven C. Hayes, helps people build psychological flexibility by changing how they relate to difficult thoughts and emotions. Instead of struggling to eliminate discomfort, ACT encourages acceptance, mindfulness, and actions guided by your personal values. This approach helps reduce avoidance, overthinking, and self-criticism while creating a richer, more meaningful life. ACT is widely used for anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, chronic pain, perfectionism, and navigating life transitions with greater resilience and purpose.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), developed by Dr. Aaron T. Beck, is one of the most researched and effective psychotherapy approaches. It is based on the idea that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours influence one another. CBT helps identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge limiting beliefs, and replace them with healthier, more balanced perspectives. Through practical tools and structured exercises, clients learn lifelong coping skills that improve emotional wellbeing. CBT is highly effective for anxiety, depression, OCD, panic attacks, stress, and low self-esteem.

Sometimes, words aren’t enough to explain what you’re feeling. Expressive Art Therapy gives you another way to explore your emotions, thoughts, memories, and experiences—without needing to be “good at art.” Through drawing, painting, colours, movement, writing, or other creative activities, you can express what may be difficult to put into words. The process can help you slow down, understand yourself more deeply, release emotions, and discover perspectives that may not emerge through conversation alone. You don’t need any artistic skills or experience—there is no right or wrong way to create. Your therapist simply provides a safe, supportive space to explore what comes up for you.

LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Care is an inclusive, evidence-based therapeutic approach that recognises and affirms diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. Rather than viewing LGBTQIA+ identities as problems to be fixed, affirmative therapy creates a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their experiences authentically. Therapy may focus on identity exploration, coming out, relationships, family dynamics, minority stress, discrimination, trauma, anxiety, depression, or self-acceptance. My approach is queer-affirmative, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and committed to supporting clients in living with authenticity, resilience, and dignity.
